A timeless tale of pastries and mills: transforming into a serene mountain hideaway.

Pinè Plateau - Trentino

The fascinating story behind our cherished B&B

Craftmanship meets heartfelt hospitality

Constructed in the beginning of the 19th century, this stone-built house carries with it a rich tapestry of history. Acquired by our family in the 1960s, it initially served the community as the village bar, helmed by Mama Lucia for three decades. Even in those early days, Lucia dabbled in hospitality, opening her doors to tourists. Following renovations in the 2000s, the ground floor was repurposed into a carpentry workshop, which remains operational to this day.

The birth of the B&B was a natural progression, fueled by our deep love for this region and a desire to share the beauty of our mountains and home with visitors.

Why the Molinare?

Up until the 1960s, this house was inhabited by three women, affectionately known as "le molinare" (the miller's daughters), due to their family's operation of a local mill. They were also celebrated as skilled pastry chefs, famous for their homemade desserts.

We chose the name "Le Molinare" in homage to the legacy and spirit that have characterized this house for many decades.
